The David Campbell Memorial Scholarship is a one-time $3,500.00 scholarship awarded to one college under-grad or graduate student.
“I'm absolutely honored and humbled to be chosen for the 2023 David Campbell scholarship! By receiving this funds I am given more flexibility to not only focus on my ecology degree, but spend extra time contributing back into the community in which I am embedded- whether it be managing local invasive species, volunteering my time with a land trust, or spending time engaged with others in the field. A favorite sculptor of mine recently said "we are all accountable for the story we're co-creating", and I can't thank the Merjent Foundation for their contribution to this story! I will take every opportunity to use my time wisely.”
“I am beyond grateful to have been selected as the recipient of the 2023 Merjent Foundation Academic Scholarship. Because of the generosity of this award, I am able to shift my focus from finding funding for my education to continuing on my professional journey in pursuing my degree in Wildlife Ecology. This award gives me the opportunity to focus on what I love most, including volunteering, climate advocacy, and pursuing research projects. I am proud to represent this foundation's passion for young people in the environmental field, and I am once again so grateful for being selected to receive this scholarship.”
"I am extremely honored and proud to be a 2023 recipient of the Merjent Foundation Academic Scholarship! This scholarship will help me in achieving my Bachelor’s and Master's degrees in the field of Archeology at Bryn Mawr College. The field of Archeology would not exist without the environment's diversity and skill in preserving vital artifacts. I look forward to the future of my career in which I can work with environmentalists to help protect the many facets of our planet. Receiving this scholarship means that I can focus more on my research and education, as well as, take more fieldwork opportunities. I am grateful to be a part of a group of people that will make a change! "
